It was established in Chicago to celebrate, preserve, amplify the historical experiences and achievements of African Americans. TO PROMOTE THE UNDERSTANDING, AND INSPIRE APPRECIATION, OF THE ACHIEVEMENTS, CONTRIBUTIONS, AND EXPERIENCES OF AFRICAN AMERICANS THROUGH EXHIBITS, PROGRAMS, AND ACTIVITIES THAT ILLUSTRATE AFRICAN CULTURE.
