Live to serve at-risk children and youth globally in U.S., India, and Nepal. Amrita-Seattle’s mission Live to Serve provides essential services to at-risk unsheltered youth, children, and communities, both locally in King County, and globally in rural India and Nepal. When Sujit and Sampa Pal founded Amrita-Seattle in 2010, they started small, trying to address a single aspect of this educational crisis in utmost rural India. Working within local schools, they distributed academic supplies and provided scholarships to vulnerable children living in the Himalayas and in Mangrove forests. Their deep commitment to selfless service gained trust from the community. As our reputation for our services grew, we responded by expanding our programs to reach more children. Over a span of 4 years, we established 10 reading centers, implement more youth programs to take on more children, ran nutrition service, facilitated health camps and mobile clinics in remote villages. Today, we serve 350 children at Amrita-Seattle, and have reached 2800+ children & families.
