This month, the Sikh Coalition said ‘au revoir’ to our Legal Director, Giselle Klapper. Giselle originally joined the organization as a Legal Fellow in 2017 before being hired full time as a Staff Attorney; over the years, she was promoted up through the legal team to eventually becoming our Legal Director. During her time with the Sikh Coalition, Giselle focused on high-impact litigation in school bullying, hate crimes, workplace discrimination, racial and religious profiling, and other civil rights issues. She led our work to combat employment discrimination in the U.S. military and was the primary attorney on our landmark case against the U.S. Marine Corps!
