Randolph High School Hosts Alumni Panel for Class of 2025 Randolph High School hosted an alumni panel in the high school auditorium. The Class of 2025 was able to learn about each graduate’s experiences since leaving Randolph High School. While this specific opportunity was focused on college readiness, throughout the past few years, other panels have and continue to be offered on career and military pathways. Each alumnus took turns sharing their unique perspectives on choosing a college, deciding on a major, and how they ultimately reached their final decisions. Every graduate agreed that identifying the right type of college—such as its location, size, and programs—was critical for selecting the best fit for success. The graduates’ pathways were diverse, including multiple prospective career fields. Our seniors listened intently as they learned about different majors, study best practices, student life, adapting to independent living, internship and job opportunities, dining services, Greek life, and many other aspects of the college experience. With the advice came many notes on how seniors could best structure their time to overcome challenges, manage stress to enhance overall well-being, and build relationships, which are critical for success in college. Our alumni emphasized the importance of networking and utilizing campus resources such as university sponsored activities, faculty office hours, and other tools to get as much support as possible. Many noted that seeking resources on campus, like academic support centers and attending sponsored extracurricular activities, can help first-year students become better acclimated to a new environment. The consensus of the entire group was that the adjustment to college life at first can be intimidating and challenging. However, over time, the alumni assured our students that they will become more comfortable as they adapt to a new way of living post-graduation. At the conclusion of the panel, our seniors felt more inspired and informed than they were before attending the session. We are grateful that our alumni volunteered their time to ensure the Class of 2025 was equipped with additional knowledge to make informed decisions as they plan their next steps after Randolph High School. “Hosting this event has been a meaningful tradition over the past few years. It’s an opportunity for our current senior class to hear directly from Randolph alumni who are now in college. The alumni offer real, honest insight into life after high school—from academics and dorm life to friendships and mental health. It’s a great way to build community, celebrate our graduates, and provide valuable guidance as they prepare for the transition to college,” Randolph High School Counselor Jessica Averill said. Members of the panel included Class of 2024 alumni Ryan Kress (University of Florida), Amelia Diaz (Montclair State University), Aydan Salim (Ithaca College), and Evan Shapo (County College of Morris); Class of 2023 alumni Lali Roche (Marist College), Kenidi Lewis (Temple University), Sean Clark (Gettysburg College), Ashlie Allen (The College of New Jersey), Ella Barbara (University of Southern California), Mikey Campbell (Penn State University), and Alex Treppiedi (University of Delaware); and Class of 2022 alumni Alexa Manolis (West Virginia University), Princess Aidoo (Montclair State University), and Madeline Midolo (University of Connecticut). We are grateful that these leaders used their insight to help prepare the next generation of Randolph graduates for their next chapters that lie ahead. #RandolphSchools #RandolphPride (fb)
