Eid al-Fitr, also known as the "Festival of Breaking the Fast," marks the end of Ramadan, a month of fasting, prayer, and reflection for Muslims around the world. This joyous occasion is a time for gratitude, generosity, and gathering with loved ones to celebrate faith and community. Today, our youth came together to celebrate Eid with an incredible meal! The feast included halal lamb, tri-tip, and chicken, paired with a vibrant fresh flower salad and refreshing fruit water. To top it all off, our amazing staff prepared a sweet spread of sugar cookies, brownies, chocolate-covered strawberries, and a rich Biscoff cheesecake! Once a year, Reserva de la Casa honors a Rancho San Antonio youth with a Scholarship for Service—and this year, we were blessed with double the impact! Thanks to the Knights Of Columbus State Secretary Vladimir and his wife Monet Rivera, the Changing Lives Charitable Foundation, two scholarships were awarded to deserving youth from our programs. One from our Transitional Age Youth (TAY) Apartments and another from our STRTP program. In addition to these incredible scholarships, a warm meal was also provided.
