CFA: Jordan Schnitzer Book Awards Deadline: July 1 The AJS is pleased to announce that we are now accepting applications for the 2025 Jordan Schnitzer Book Awards, made possible by Jordan Schnitzer through the Harold & Arlene Schnitzer Family Fund of the Oregon Jewish Community Foundation. The awards recognize and promote outstanding scholarship in the field of Jewish Studies, with one winner and one finalist in each of four categories. New in 2025, each winner receives $15,000 and each finalist receives $5,000. About the AJS The Association for Jewish Studies is a learned society and professional organization whose mission is to advance research and teaching in Jewish Studies at colleges universities and other institutions of higher learning and to foster greater understanding of Jewish Studies scholarship among the wider public. Membership With more than 1900 individual members and over 70 institutional members the AJS provides an intellectual forum for university faculty graduate students independent scholars museum and related professionalsand all those interested in the scholarly field of Jewish Studies. Annual Conference With 1200 attendees over 190 sessions a major exhibit hall with leading publishers cultural programming and a conferencewide welcome reception and plenary the AJS Conference is the largest annual gathering of Jewish Studies scholars in the world.
