Debere Mihret St. Michael Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church of Illinois is incorporated on February 8, 2008 with a clear mission of providing spiritual services to Orthodox Tewahedo followers who reside in Wheaton and the surrounding cities. As part of meeting the spiritual needs of its parishners, the Church provides Divine Liturgy, Bible study, spiritual counseling, babtism, chrisitan matrimonies, visitations of the sick and assistance to the needy. The Church also provides a specialized education and training to children who are interested in serving Orthodox Tewhedo Churchs as deacons.
