We connect emerging & experienced makers with the public through resources & opportunities to help make their mark on our state's handmade legacy. Tennessee Craft (formerly TACA) is a statewide, non-profit organization dedicated to encouraging, developing and promoting crafts and craftspeople. Tennessee Craft is a statewide non-profit founded in 1965 to continue and create our state’s fine craft tradition. Tennessee Craft’s goals are to: 1. Encourage professionalism among craftspeople, and to raise the standard of excellence in craftsmanship and design (with workshops, juried events, awards, programs and mentorships), 2. Create marketing opportunities for craft artists (with fairs, exhibitions and image registry) 3. Increase public understanding and appreciation of crafts (through exhibitions, demonstrations, public education, contact with craftspeople), and 4. Provide a forum for Tennessee Craft members to encourage mutual support (through local chapters, annual meeting, newsletters, social media, member rosters)
