The Mission of Dachshund And Small Hound Rescue is: * to serve and to protect all Dachshunds and all Small Hounds possible. * to rescue, provide Shelter, Medical care, love, human companionship and stability for abandoned and neglected dogs until a permanent placement are secured. * to educate the public of the benefits of spaying and neutering their pets. * to raise the public's awareness of the plight of homeless animals as well as realizing the benefits of adopting an animal in need. * to promote adoption of rescued dogs to qualified homes that have been properly screened and counseled to maintain the dog in the home for their lifetime.
