Groups of one of the smallest pieces of matter — nanoparticles — are in a constant motion on the surfaces of materials. The patterns and behaviors exhibited by these particles' movements can reveal their suitability and potential for applications that could lead to technological innovations, including may related to engineering pursuits. Fulton Schools researchers are using the latest advances in electron microscopy to reveal more about nanoparticles, their movement and their potential to serve as a foundation for developing innovations in a variety of tech fields.
