It’s official! School is out for summer, kids are headed off to camp, family beach time is in full swing! Time to kick back and relax. Now that kids are home most of the time this summer, it can be tempting to just let them be on their phones and iPads without our supervision. The risky part of that is, screen time is perfect for online traffickers and predators to seek out the vulnerable and prey on our unsuspecting kids. This is why She Is Safe has come up with online tips for safety- so you can have peace of mind and your kiddos can have a fun and safe summer. Here are just a few to place on your fridge and share with your family. 1. Never Share Personal Information Avoid disclosing your full name, home address, phone number, school name, passwords, or any other personal details without obtaining a parent's permission. 2. Use Strong Passwords Create strong and unique passwords that combine letters, numbers, and symbols. Never share passwords with friends—only trusted adults like parents. 3. Be Careful What You Post Think before you post photos, videos, or messages. Once something is online, it’s hard to delete it completely. 4. Don’t Talk to Strangers Online Just like in real life, don’t talk to anyone on the internet that you don’t know in real life. If someone you don’t know tries to message or chat, tell a parent or trusted adult right away. 5. Tell an Adult If Something Feels Wrong If anything online makes you feel uncomfortable, scared, or confused, tell a parent, teacher, or guardian immediately. (fb)

Greater love hath no man than this, That a man lay down his life for his friend. John 15:13 Thankful and grateful to those who served and sacrificed their lives for the freedoms we hold so dear. A blessed Memorial Day from the She Is Safe family. (fb)

She Is Safe is a trusted authority with decades of experience in antitrafficking work spanning from West Africa to the Middle East and throughout Asia. We have excavated the root causes of sexual slavery identified best practices andcreated local partnerships to free and equip women and girls to become who God created them to be. In 1983 Daniel and Michele Rickett were sent to Nairobi Kenya with their two young daughters. Nothing prepared Michele for what she witnessed in the brutalities and slavery that girls and women suffered across Africa which she learned were common across the developing world.
