Domestic Harmony Foundation Building Bridges to Harmony We work towards Empowering Survivors of Domestic Violence Empowering South Asian Middle EasternDomestic Violence Survivors The Domestic Harmony Foundation DHF is a communitybased nonprofit organization created in response to the social emotional and psychological needs of a growing South Asian Middle Eastern and Muslim community in Long Island. Although DHF works mainly with Muslim women who are victims of domestic violence these services are available to individuals irrespective of creed culture ethnicity gender or sexual orientation. We provide culturally sensitive services in English Urdu Arabic Farsi Hindi Bengali Punjabi Gujarati Malyalam and Pashto. A pattern of behavior in any relationship that is used to obtain or keep control over an intimate partner is known as domestic abuse or domestic violence.
