My Red Tent
My Red Tent matches charitable mental health clinicians in the United States, trained to meet the unique needs of perinatal women (pregnant or less than one year postpartum), with underserved women in the community needing assessment and treatment recommendations. Specifically, we aim to provide relief to a distressed and underprivileged female population, serve as strong advocates for women and infants everywhere, and increase the awareness surrounding perinatal mood and anxiety disorders in our society at large. These aims will be facilitated by fundraising activities, community advocacy, and providing safe places for women to gather for mutual support, as was portrayed in the novel The Red Tent by Anita Diamant.
