Colorado’s digital benefits application system, PEAK, streamlines access to multiple benefit programs, but research showed additional improvements were still needed to optimize client experience. We worked with the PEAK team to apply a systems change approach: gathering comprehensive user feedback, identifying pain points, and creating a data-driven strategy and action plan for application improvements. As a result of our partnership, the PEAK team is better equipped to evaluate and prioritize future updates based on client feedback. Additionally, we collaborated with Boulder County to launch automated text reminders for SNAP interviews, which have already resulted in a 10% reduction in missed interviews.
