Sprout Creek Farm Inc

Sprout Creek Farm is a 200 acre working farm in Dutchess County, New York which provides an integrated context for educational and spiritual development programs for young people and adults.  Sprout Creek provides a setting of natural beauty and educational experiences that foster appreciation for and understanding of our place within the natural world.  We strive to encourage responsibility for the future of our environment. Our programs are designed to reconnect children and adults of socially, chronologically, and economically diverse backgrounds to the rich agricultural heritage of the United States, to build community as a model of peaceable living in an age of increasing disintegration, and to help create new channels for action and new structures for a more enlightened interdependent world. Our programs include farm work, serious study, service, time for reflection, and communal living.  They provide opportunities for responsibility and decisionmaking; for cognitive, affective and physical skill development; for spiritual growth; and for experience of a simpler, more environmentally integrated way of life.  The experience of the Farm enhances awareness, fosters an informed compassion and evokes the desire to become an agent of change in a troubled world.
