Back in March, @seafood_and_gender_equality unveiled their new Gender Equity Index (GEI) Tool at Seafood Expo North America in Boston during a joint presentation with members of The Justice Collective, which helped develop the tool. The GEI enables companies and organizations to self-assess opportunities and gaps in their gender equity and chart a path forward. SFP will be one of the first organizations to pilot the GEI in the coming months, examining our internal organization and introducing SAGE's Gender and Equity Dialogues to participating companies in SFP's Supply Chain Roundtables. “Diverse workforces attract top talent and reduce employee turnover, and research shows that gender diversity in leadership is linked to higher profitability,”- Jim Cannon, CEO of SFP.
