PHD's mission is to preserve the dignity of women who are pregnant or parenting a child under the age of three by providng nonjudgmetal and supportive programming that offers hope and opportunity. PHD provides professional counseling on issues such as parenting, depression, post partum depression, grief and loss, employment and budgeting and single mother and grandparent support groups. PHD provides a variety of educational opportunities including prenatal,parenting, employment,budgeting, and life skills. PHD's Educational Outreach prevention programs reach adolescents and parents with messages about healthy sexuality, relationship development, communication, character development, how to say "no" and protecting future goals. PHD's prevention programs also address the negative consequences of early sexual involvement including unplanned pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections.
