To serve and promote the well-being of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning (LGBTQ) community and persons at risk and/or affected by HIV through education, support services, quality housing, and advocacy. Community AIDS Network/Akron Pride Initiatives mission is to prevent further transmission of HIV through education and risk reduction efforts and to provide housing assistance and other supportive services to people already affected by HIV.

CANAPI We Are Stonger Together We Are Stonger Together We Are Stonger Together To our LGBTQ Community of Akron and Beyond We knew the Trump administration was going to be difficult for our community. We knew through the ads dehumanizing and instilling fear surrounding the trans community ran rampant throughout the campaign season. While we were already anticipating and preparing an uphill battle to protect the rights of the LGBTQ community we are shocked and stunned at the speed in which hate can spread and the blatant attempts to erase such a valuable part of our community. CANAPI stands in solidarity with all those who are experiencing fear surrounding the recent executive orders.
