Since 2007, Puentes has been providing Latin American families and communities with the resources, knowledge, and hands-on opportunities they need to thrive. Puentes New Orleans aims to build bridges that support successful paths for Latine youth. Puentes New Orleans tiene como objetivo construir puentes que apoyen caminos exitosos para la juventud Latine. Puentes is a nonprofit organization that has been serving the Latinx population in New Orleans since 2007. We are currently focused on youth education, leadership, and development through our Escalera, Early Escalera and L.U.N.A (Latinx Unidos en Nueva Orleans en Acción) programs. Our mission is to build bridges that support successful paths for Latinx youth, and our vision is to uplift the next generation of Latinx leaders. Puentes has established itself as the only nonprofit in the city focused exclusively on Latin American youth and one of the few focused specifically on immigrant youth. L.U.N.A focuses on youth between 16 and 24 years old and Escalera follows Latinx students entering their freshman year through high school.
