The Yellow Springs Youth Orchestra Association YSYOA has been providing support for music opportunities in the village since 1965. The Youth Orchestra Program was founded by cellist Shirley Mullins and the late violinist Mary Schumacher. Although it originally centered on schoolaged children today the focus has broadened to include the larger community providing venues for people of all ages to share and enjoy music together.
