Last week, our New Hope Initiative Kenya family faced a tragic loss when a devastating fire completely destroyed the residences of two of our key leaders, Teacher Vincent and his mother, Veronica. Both Vincent and Veronica reside in Kibera, and they were living in separate homes when the fire struck. They have literally lost everything in the inferno, except for the clothes on their backs and Veronica’s prized Bible, which she miraculously found unscathed at the bottom of the rubble. We are deeply saddened by this loss and are committed to helping Vincent and Veronica rebuild their lives.
