Built in 1762-64 by the East Jersey Proprietors, Proprietary House is the only official royal govern To preserve, restore and interpret as a historic site and museum the Proprietary House (a NJ State-owned property) which was built in 1762-64 and served as colonial New Jersey's royal governor's mansion. Tours of the museum, educational programs and history-related activities and events are offered to the public.
