THE FOUNDATION FOR PHYSICAL MEDICINE AND REHABILITATION IS DEDICATED TO RESTORING HEALTH, IMPROVING FUNCTION, MINIMIZING PAIN AND ENHANCING QUALITY OF LIFE FOR INDIVDUALS WITH DISABILITY THROUGH RESEARCH AND EDUCATION IN PHYSICAL MEDICINE AND REHABILITATION.

Home - Foundation for PM&R Welcome To The Foundation For Physical Medicine Rehabilitation According to the CDC one in four people in the US are living with a disability. The Foundation for PMR funds physiatric research to increase our understanding of the underlying mechanisms of disability and determine the best interventions to maximize health and improve function for people with disabilities. Our support gives bright new investigators the start that they need to launch a research career and provides vital pilot funding for proven investigators to pursue a new line of research or obtain grants to pursue largerscale research projects. Foundationfunded research has let to hundreds of published articles and medical presentations that educate physicians on the best care for individuals with disability as well as six times as much funding for physiatric research.
