Angie Klopstad from Discovery Elementary received a Public School Proud Grant for her proposal, “Lots of Bots: Ozobots.” Angie purchased a classroom set of programmable robots and accessories, and students got a brief introduction to the new materials before the school year ended! The youngest students were able to program the robots using a simple colored line, others explored building a magnetic path with speed codes, and older students wrote a story and created a story map using the bots. Andrea Sukut from the Learning Lab received a Public School Proud Grant for her proposal, “Sensory Regulation.” With grant funds, she purchased giant sight and sound tubes, activity balls, bead lacing sets, light-up musical shape sorters, See Inside rain sticks, spinning stacking toys, sensory fidgets, a rainbow stack ball track, and a cuddle box that has already been used by Early Childhood students!
