A look back at Variety’s history! 68 years ago, Variety Board Member, Ralph Pries, brought Old Newsboys' Day to Philadelphia, in collaboration with Firstrust Bank. This event also involved both the Philadelphia Police Department and Philadelphia Fire Department Volunteers that year, and every one since, lined the streets of Philadelphia, selling newspapers to raise money for children with disabilities.
