Shearit HaPlate of Bergen County, Inc. (pronounced “Sheyreet HaPlate”) is a non-profit organization dedicated to minimizing the waste of kosher food within our community and distributing that food to those in need, usually within twenty-four hours. SHPBC collects, repackages and distributes kosher surplus food to individuals and families within Teaneck, NJ and surrounding communities in a respectful way that helps to ensure the recipients' privacy and self-esteem.
