County Harvest is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit food rescue organization serving Westchester County, New York. Our mission is to help communities in Westchester County as a food rescue organization, connecting food donors with agencies serving people in need. County Harvest combats the needs of a large and unfortunately growing population of families, seniors, veterans and children in our area who are not sure where their next meal will come from. Relying heavily on local volunteers, we locate and rescue good excess food and deliver it immediately to nearby soup kitchens, food pantries and homeless shelters. We do not have an office, warehouse or paid staff but our growing corps of 225 volunteers has still managed to rescue over 1.5 pounds of food that has helped feed thousands of people since we started in 2009.
