The New York State Department of Transportation is hiring a Bridge Repair Assistant to join our Bridge Maintenance Team in Chemung County. 💵 Salary Information: •Bridge Repair Assistant Trainee 1: $48,855 (Base Salary: $39,855 + $9,000 Geographic Pay Differential) • Bridge Repair Assistant 2: $51,058 (Base Salary: $42,058 + $9,000 Geographic Pay Differential) • Bridge Repair Assistant: $55,905 (Base Salary: $46,905 + $9,000 Geographic Pay Differential) 🔧 Key Responsibilities Include: • Perform semi-skilled repairs and maintenance on bridges • Cut and weld steel components • Mix and pour concrete for deck and structural repairs • Operate sandblasting and painting equipment • Use jackhammers, hand and power tools for deck/joint repair • Operate dump trucks, rollers, patching machines, and more • Winter work includes snow and ice removal operations • Participate in emergency response efforts (ICS roles) 🧰 Must be able to: • Follow safety protocols and use respiratory protection when required • Work in a physically demanding environment • Be available for mandatory overtime and emergency response 📄 Details & How to Apply: Visit 👉 https://statejobs.
