Women's Heart Foundation
There is an epidemic of obesity and diabetes in children and teens, undetected disease particularly in younger women, and diagnostic delays, contributing to limited treatment options, higher morbidity and a rising death rate in younger women, particularly minority women. The Women's Heart Foundation grew out of a need to educate women and health care professionals about how heart disease affects women differently and institute community wellness and prevention projects that are school based.
