The rain couldn’t dampen our spirits yesterday when our entire community – students from ECC to High School, teachers, staff, coaches, and our beloved Loup – gathered together in the gym to cheer on our Special Olympics team ahead of the National Games in Kortrijk over the weekend, from 29 to 31 May ⭐️ Our talented team will be representing ISB in the Softball Throw, 50, 400, and 1500 Meter Races, and Standing Long Jump categories, marking yet another year of disciplined training and hard work. We wish all our athletes best of luck in their respective categories and congratulate the entire team of coaches and staff for their hard work and dedication to see our school represented again in this great competition! To mark the first year of the extended Home Language Programme in the Lower School, we asked our students and parents why it is important to learn home languages at school. Listen to our community explain why Korean, Spanish, Hebrew, Swedish, and Japanese lessons have helped them maintain their language skills and celebrate their identities! The Home Language Programme helps students maintain a strong connection with their roots. Moreover, at ISB we believe that integrating home language learning into the school day enriches our students’ academic journey. Whether by reinforcing their problem-solving skills or expanding their vocabulary, being multilingual opens doors to deeper learning 🌍 Congratulations for a great first year of the Home Language Programme in the Lower School!
