Our Mission: To provide positive, interactive learning experiences that excite and inspire long-term interest in STEM education through space exploration. Positive, interactive learning experiences that excite and inspire! Teachers agree that lack of motivation is a major hinderance to learning in the classroom, especially when teaching science. The Challenger Learning Center of KY provides the teacher a way to teach science, math, and technology in a fun and exciting way using materials, curriculum, and provided by the CLC to prepare for a simulated space mission. Students then visit the CLC where they serve as mission controllers and astronauts in mock-ups of Mission Control and a space station laboratory. Teachers and administrators alike comment about the excitement created and the interest taken by students during mission preparation in the classroom and during their simulated mission. The CLC of KY also has other programs designed for 4-8th grade teachers and students.
