Pearls of Africa Inc

Follow Message Edit

Pearls of Africa, Inc. founded in 2001, grew out of the increased operation of a Ugandan based organization, People With Disabilities Uganda. Pearls of Africa benefits greatly from the support and involvement of online volunteers. Through the internet, volunteers from 6 continents offer their support, expertise and skills. Pearls of Africa believes that people living with disability in Uganda need three main forms of support - information, inclusion and inspiration. To this end, POA provides resources, support services, workshops and various other programs to help people with disabilities and their families live happy healthy lives. In addition to our work in Uganda, much of POA's efforts are directed at informing and educating the American public about the needs of people living with disabilities in developing countries, particularly Uganda.

Eduo.org helped me discover a small local organization doing amazing environmental work that I would’ve never found otherwise. It’s a hidden gem for socially conscious people.
