EAST SIDE LEARNING CENTER
ESLC envisions a community where all children read with pride and joy to become life-long learners. East Side Learning Center's mission is "Unlocking each child's potential through the foundation of reading" since 2001. We envision a community in which all children read with pride and joy to become life-long learners. To achieve this vision, children participate in one-on-one tutoring sessions with trained caring adult volunteers. Session plans are designed and individualized by staff teachers based on each child's unique needs, assessments, progress monitoring, and tutor, student, teacher, and parent feedback. Sessions focus on increasing literacy skills as well as the social emotional skills needed to succeed in school.
