The rehabilitation of criminals and drug and alcohol caused debilities; educating the public about poverty, alcohol and substance use and criminal behavior; the establishment of a residential educational center teaching academic and vocational skills, life skills, values, and habits leading toward a life in the mainstream of society; and the establishment of related schools, institutes and training programs.

Delancey Street Foundation - Home At our site we hope to show you a little about our model our successes and our struggles. Were considered the countrys leading residential selfhelp organization for substance abusers exconvicts homeless and others who have hit bottom. Our average resident has been a hardcore drug addict for sixteen years abusing alcohol and multiple drugs and has dropped out of school at the 7th grade and has been institutionalized several times. Many have been gang members most have been trapped in poverty for several generations.
