***SPECIAL EVENTS*** Over the last few weeks, we have been quite busy! In the early hours of May 15th, EMT S. Kohn, Supervisor B.Gunnigle, and Lt. O. Henein successfully delivered a healthy baby boy and transported both the infant and his mother to a nearby hospital. This was one of the 128 calls answered during the week! Last week, Freehold EMS celebrated EMS week highlighting seven of our dedicated members. We treated our hardworking members to Jersey Freeze Ice Cream, EMS week gifts, and will be hosting a member appreciation event in June! Our on duty staff ended EMS week with a CPR call that resulted in return of pulses and the patient’s survival! A job well done by FEMS and our paramedic colleagues with Atlantic Mobile Health. On Memorial Day, Freehold EMS staffed 5 BLS units, three quick response vehicles, and a ATV unit to provide local 911 coverage as well as EMS coverage for the 151st annual Freehold Memorial Day parade. More than 50 of our members supported the days operation. Assisting us in ensuring the safety of the attendees along the parade route were Atlantic Mobile Health BLS and a BLS unit and event bike team staffed by our friends with marlboroems. We sincerely thank Marlboro EMS & Atlantic Health EMS personnel for their assistance in covering this event. We proudly accepted a proclamation from the committee and deeply appreciate this recognition.
