The original school was established in 1902 and served the town for almost 50 years teaching the three Rs to the children of the northern end of Long Beach Island until 1951. In 1954 on our Boroughs 50th year the schoolhouse was dedicated as the towns museum. This unique small museum stands in the shadow of the Barnegat Lighthousethe second oldest lighthouse on the Northeastern seaboard.
