Charles Bronfman reminded us that this isn’t just about looking back — it’s about building the future. One of the evening’s most powerful moments came from Ashley Waxman Bakshi, a 2003 alum, entrepreneur, and activist. As Israel’s first viral YouTube vlogger and founder of AWB Cosmetics, Ashley shared how her Birthright experience inspired her to make aliyah, serve in the Israeli Air Force, and become a global voice for Israel. “Birthright Israel gave me the foundation and voice to be the advocate I am today,” she said. “We must continue to speak up, to act, and to stand together.” The energy in was electric — filled with pride, purpose, and a shared commitment to ensuring the next generation of Jewish young adults gets the same life-changing opportunity.
