GWFC GeorgiaLilburn Woman39s Club HOME CALENDAR PROGRAMS ABOUT US MEMBER RESOURCES DONATE TO LWC SCHOLARSHIPS TASTE OF LILBURN CONTACT US LILBURN DAZE THE DICTIONARY PROJECT MORE WELCOME The mission of General Federation of Women39s Clubs GFWC Lilburn Woman39s Club is to promote effective projects in the Community Service Programs of Arts and Culture Civic Engagement and Outreach Domestic Violence Awareness Education Environment Health Wellness and other district state or national projects. GFWC is the largest organization of women in the world with a very active district state national and international presence. An additional mission is to help each member participate as a responsible citizen making the local state national and world communities a better place to live for all people. 2024 Community Impact 57 Members strong 11036 volunteer hours 30000 dollars donated 28000 gifts inkind invested in the community 7500 in Scholarships awarded 1400 Dictionaries donated to third graders in eight Lilburn elementary schools 1950 US Constitutions donated to eighth graders in three Lilburn middle schools Support for CARE Teams in 13 Lilburn elementary middle and high schools with 5250 in donations Holiday gifts given to over 31 local children in need 4500 of treats and packing of care boxes for deployed troops Support for local food banks with 2500 in cash and almost 500 inkind donations Second Taste of Lilburn over 25 local restaurants and vendors with over 1000 local attendees 52nd Lilburn Daze with over 6000 attendees Our core values include but are not limited to Commitment and accountability to the public and the club Respect for our diverse membership including cultural and generational differences Transparency integrity inclusiveness and honesty Responsible stewardship of club resources Commitment to excellence and to maintaining the public trust Club theme Community Concern Club colors Red White and Blue Club Flower Azalea Club motto There are no strangers here only friends we have not met.
