San Mateo County Horsemen's Association
The San Mateo County Horsemen’s Association was formed in 1940 for the purpose of sponsoring, cultivating and fostering an interest in fine horses and fine horsemanship within San Mateo County. We support all disciplines of riding and encourage all types of riding – recreational through competitive -- and we embrace all breeds of horses, pedigreed or not. To achieve this, we provide aid to every type of activity concerning horses. Additionally, we are committed to continuously learning and improving our own riding and horsepersonship skills so that we can become ever-better partners with our equine companions. SMCHA is deeply devoted to keeping the historical legacy and tradition of horses in our community alive & thriving and to have fun while doing it!
