Since 1985, Flathead Land Trust has been dedicated to protecting NW Montana's land & water legacy FLATHEAD LAND TRUST IS DEDICATED TO PROTECTING NORTHWEST MONTANA'S SPECTACULAR LAND AND WATER LEGACY THROUGH COMMUNITY BASED CONSERVATION. FLATHEAD LAND TRUST'S PRIMARY PROGRAM SERVICE IS PRIVATE LAND CONSERVATION THROUGH VOLUNTARY AGREEMENTS WITH LANDOWNERS (CONSERVATION EASEMENTS); WITHIN THAT PROGRAM SERVICE WE DEVELOP, NEGOTIATE, AND ACCEPT DONATED CONSERVATION EASEMENTS. IN ADDITION, WITH BOTH PRIVATE AND FEDERAL FUNDS, FLT PURCHASES CONSERVATION EASEMENTS AND ACQUIRES PRIVATE LAND WHICH BECOMES PUBLIC THROUGH TRANSFER TO STATE OR FEDERAL AGENCY'S . FLATHEAD LAND TRUST ALSO WORKS ON COMMUNITY CONSERVATION PROJECTS THAT ENHANCE RECREATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES SUCH AS TRAILS, COMMUNITY PARKS, WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AREA'S, FISHING ACCESS SITES, WILDLIFE WATCHING AREAS, AND YOUTH EDUCATION.

Harrell Forest Community Trails We invite you to visit the Harrell Forest trails located at 1017 Bigfork Stage Road. A collaborative effort over many years with our partners Trust for Public Land and Montana Land Reliance we created a flowy forested trail system offering stacked loops for up to 7mile roundtrip treks.
