Created by the Alabama legislature in 1953, Alabama Public Television provides, through communications technologies, public access to educational opportunities. Our original documentaries, distributed through web platforms, mobile devices, and on-air broadcasts, have cemented APT’s place as Alabama’s storyteller, funding original productions that capture the people, places, and voices of Alabama.
