Heartland Alliance International is a Chicago-based non-profit organization that addresses some of the world's most complex human rights challenges, providing healing and justice to communities affected by conflict and violence. HAI promotes progressive, innovative approaches to human rights protections and gender equity. Our mission is to secure the rights and well-being of marginalized people and communities. HAI achieves this mission by focusing on specialized mental health and psychosocial support and access to legal services for people who have been victims of violence and human rights abuses. We ensure the safety of these individuals and empower them to actively engage in their communities and drive social change.
