SVdP - Philadelphia - St. Vincent de Paul Society of Philadelphia
. The Society came to the USA around 1845. No work of charity is foreign to the Society. This includes any form of help that alleviates suffering or deprivation and promotes human dignity and personal integrity. The Society serves those in need regardless of race, religion, creed, ethnic or social background, gender, or political opinions.
Organized locally, Vincentians (as our members are called) witness God’s love by embracing all works of charity and justice. The Society collaborates with other people and organizations of good will in relieving need and addressing its causes, to attempt systemic change.
