ALDHA is an off-trail family of hikers who share similar experiences, hopes and dreams on the Appalachian Trail and other trails. The fourfold purpose of the Appalachian Long Distance Hikers Association is to: Represent and promote the welfare of the Appalachian long distance hiking community; Provide service in a cooperative spirit with other Appalachian hiking organizations; Provide education on the use and preservation of Appalachian long distance trails; And provide opportunities for interaction and camaraderie within the Appalachian long distance hiking community.

ALDHA HOME ALDHA CARE Emergency Relief Make a donation to help support ALDHAs efforts to provide direct relief to hostels and trail providers most impacted by the recent storm. ALDHA has already committed 10000 to provide immediate support to those most in need. ALDHA AWARDS 43rd Annual GatheringOctober 1012 MISSIONTo provide a recreational association for persons interested in long distance hiking by providing fellowship and education in long distance hiking and to engage in such other activities consistent therewith and allowed by law.
