Holocaust comparisons in politics aren’t just inappropriate—they’re dangerous. Senator Bernie Moreno’s reference to a Jewish U.S. Senator as “Fuhrer” crosses a line that should never be normalized. This kind of rhetoric trivializes history and fuels antisemitism at a time when our community is already under threat. Through our statewide partner, Ohio Jewish Communities (OJC)—which represents our unified Ohio Jewish community—we’ve begun outreach to convey the seriousness of these remarks. We’re calling on all public leaders to raise the standard of discourse. Words matter. Accountability matters. 📢 Read our full statement → https://ow.ly/YM2u50VuTm2 (fb)

🔍 You may not always see it. But the work is happening. As backpacks drop by the door, laptops close, and families gather around dinner tables—as some of us head to the JCRC Annual Meeting tonight to learn and reconnect—the quiet work of keeping Jewish Cincinnati safe and strong continues. 🛡️ Saturday: At St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church, we didn’t just run an Active Threat Training. “The fact that the Jewish community cared enough to reach out to us—that meant something.” — Deacon Staley 🗣️ Thursday: Federation leaders from across Ohio walked the halls of the Statehouse, advocating for security funding for Jewish institutions, support for Holocaust survivors, expanded access to kosher and halal meals for food-insecure families, and other efforts that protect dignity and strengthen community. 🤝 Every day: We partner with university leaders—and with Hillel and Chabad teams—to ensure Jewish students feel safe, seen, and supported. This is what it means to show up. Want to see more of what’s happening behind the scenes? 👉 Sign up for our email updates: https://ow.ly/V5KY50VtxfY (fb)
