The Project Canine pack is sending up a sad howl to accompany Lucy Pugalier across the rainbow bridge. 🌈 Lucy passed away yesterday at 16 years old. She and her handler Leslye were one of our longest serving teams ever and were with us for 10 years. They were an extraordinary team and Lucy was the kind of therapy dog who could visit in any environment with any population and spread joy and compassion. She came to a wide variety of events and had a regular gig visiting in an eldercare in Shoreline before COVID. She also spent many years visiting at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Western Washington & Alaska. She also participated in various programs over the years including Bow Wows and Books. There really wasn't anything she couldn't do. She and Leslye shared kindness, compassion, and connection with sooooo very many people and they created a lasting legacy of love. We are so lucky they chose our community and now they are one of our "forever teams." Good-bye sweet Lucy. You will be forever missed. Please hold Leslye in your thoughts and hearts as she navigates this challenging time. 💜 (fb)
