Warm The Children, Inc.

Follow Message Edit

Warm The Children's mission is to provide local children in need with new winter clothing and footwear. This is accomplished with the help of local newspapers which seek $$ donations from their readers - all of which are used to purchase the clothing (nothing is skimmed off for administration). Needy families to be served are identified by social service organizations (like the Salvation Army), school systems, Head Start programs, and welfare organizations. Volunteer shoppers meet the families to be served at a local store and help with the shopping trip, buying $80 - $100 worth of new clothing for each child. No money changes hands - each store bills the local Warm The Children program for all purchases.
