To facilitate this, we mobilize our community's caring power and advance our community's Agenda for Change, six goals focused on three priority areas of Education, Income and Health - the building blocks of a stable life and thriving community. By targeting specific goals and forging partnerships, United Way is tackling the root causes of critical local issues and achieving real, measurable results in education, financial stability, housing, health and more.

This LaborDay, we celebrate the generations of workers who’ve built stronger communities and our partnership with the @South Central Federation of Labor, AFL-CIO to keep Dane County thriving for all. United Way has partnered with the labor movement since the 1940s, starting with Henry Ford and auto workers during World War II. Today, that spirit lives on through the AFL-CIO, an umbrella federation of 64 unions representing 15 million workers and advancing social and economic justice.
