Over the weekend, EN1, EN2, TK1, SQ1, and Chief responded to a residential deck fire in the district. All units arrived within 7 minutes of dispatch, and quick work from the Engine Co. and neighbors prior to arrival allowed the fire to be contained outside with no extension into the living space. No injuries were reported. 9 members also took advantage of the high water to complete Boat Rescue Operations with Working the Rescue and Jefferson Hills Fire-Rescue. Students took two days at Moraine State Park and the Allegheny River in Oil City to practice swiftwater rescue techniques in preparation for the highly anticipated return of 228 Boat 1! (fb)
