Mikala Leszcynski ’21, M’22, a graduate of DeSales University’s Physician Assistant program, has achieved the remarkable milestone of becoming the first fellow to complete St. Luke’s University Health Network’s groundbreaking Hospice and Palliative Medicine Advanced Practitioner Fellowship. This is the 13th program of its kind in the U.S. and the first in Pennsylvania. From her early passion for elder care to her transformative clinical experiences at St. Luke’s, Leszcynski’s journey highlights the powerful partnership between DeSales and St. Luke’s in shaping future healthcare leaders. Now working in long-term care in New York, she credits DeSales’ faculty, including renowned program director Kathy Ehrhardt, for preparing her to make a real difference in patients’ lives.
